In its first two weeks, TitlewithTexans.com referred over $1 Million in Dollar Volume in 5 counties comprising over $10,000 in Title Premiums plus Escrow Fees to several Independent Title Agents in Texas. We are pleased with the response so far and look forward to increasing these numbers as we advertise and promote this website even more.
We have also added an “AGENT to AGENT” ORDER FORM which will make Title Evidence and Title Examinations easier for both Independent Agents and other licensed Title Agents in Texas.
The AGENT to AGENT ORDER FORM contains the following language:
Title Agents should use this Order Form when ordering Title Evidence and Examinations from other Title Agents. By ordering Title Evidence on this site both Agents agree to a Rule P-24 split unless the Company providing such services and the Company paying for such services enter into a prior written agreement specifying and agreeing to percentages different from those provided in this Rule. Important Note: Agents listed on Title with Texans reserve the right to refuse service on any title order.
This language was taken straight from P-24. Agent who are NOT interested in selling title evidence to other agents are not required to be listed on the site.
Speaking of P-24…Title with Texans has been coducting a Poll [Click Here]; on this page Independent Agents can cast their Vote, and find out what your fellow Independent Agents are saying about this proposed rule change by the staff at the Department of Insurance. Visitor are asked to feel free to add your comments.
One final note, recently the Texas Association of Abstracters and Title Agents (TAATA) changed its name to Independent Title Agents of Texas (ITAT). This organization represents both rural and metropolitan Independent Title Agents. For information about membership in this important organization contact:
